Dr. Richard Schulze: The Original Natural Health Revolutionary

Wisdom from one of the early pioneers of modern Natural Healing.

Overweight and Diseased

QUESTION

Dear Dr. Schulze,

I need your help! I am 63 years old, grossly overweight and very unhealthy. I have very high blood pressure, high blood lipids (cholesterol 800 and triglycerides way off the charts), high blood sugar and many other problems. I have already had one heart attack. My problem is that I don’t like the taste of anything healthy and I love the taste of meat. I smoke, drink and never exercise. If it wasn’t for my daughter and my granddaughter, I would have never written this letter. They really made me write it. Is there any help for me and do you have any suggestions? I feel it is way too late for this old dog to learn any new tricks but would like a few more years to see my grandkids.

ANSWER

Dear Tom,

If you are grossly overweight, very unhealthy, have all of these high blood values, drink, smoke, don’t exercise and have already had one heart attack, well, statistically you are in very dangerous territory, my friend. Your daughter made you write me because she obviously cares more about you being alive and living longer than you do. The question is what do you want?

Look my friend, I never judge, and you have as much right to live your life your way as I do to live my life my way. But in my clinic, I would call patients like you “Ticking Time Bombs” simply because you are in severe and immediate danger of having a heart attack or stroke and dying. If you are going to do something, YOU NEED TO DO IT RIGHT NOW!

The bottom line is, do you want to suffer through one or two more sickly years (or weeks) living your lifestyle as a fat, whining, out-of-breath pig? Or do you want to live 10, 20 or even more years to enjoy a new type of life filled with energy, vitality and gusto? It is never too late to change, my friend! I had patients fatter and in worse shape than you turn it all around, heal their heart disease, get very healthy and live on for decades.

I have always found that people like you—those who live life with so much gusto that they practically wind up killing themselves—when they set their mind on healing themselves and creating powerful health, they become my best patients.

The question remains: Do you have the desire to live more decades instead of more months? If you chose decades, I have no doubt that you will be one of my next Natural Healing crusaders! If you would just take half of the intensity, dedication, focus and commitment that you have used to kill yourself, to now get yourself well, you will find it an easy journey, my friend. It is up to you.

If you choose to make this change, send me another e-mail in a few months to let me know how you are doing.
